Vijay's First Political Rally in Vikravandi: Over 300,000 Expected to Attend

Actor Vijay is getting ready for his first political rally. It will be held in Vikravandi. More than 300,000 people are expected to attend.

This rally marks the official launch of his new political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

Vijay follows other famous actors who became politicians.

These include M G Ramachandran, J Jayalalithaa, Vijayakanth, and Kamal Haasan.

Where Will the Rally Be Held?

The rally will take place in Vikravandi. Organisers have set up over 60,000 chairs for the attendees.

They have also arranged caravans for important TVK leaders. The budget for the event is around ₹50 crore.

The streets leading to the rally are decorated with large cut-outs of Dravidian leaders. This includes Periyar and B R Ambedkar.

There are also many posters of Vijay.

The road from Chennai to Vikravandi is over 100 km long. It is lined with banners and flex boards featuring Vijay.

What Does Vijay Stand For in Politics?

Vijay's political message focuses on inclusivity and Tamil pride. His party's launch anthem is “Tamizhan Kodi Parakuthu… Thalaivan Yugam Porakuthu.”

This means “The Tamil flag flies high… A leader’s era has begun.”

The anthem connects with the state’s film and political history.

Vijay wants to show that he can link traditional Dravidian values with modern challenges.

These challenges include education and environmental issues.
